We are currently seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to join our growing team. Position Overview We are looking for a hard-working, dependable, detail-oriented, and flexible individual who enjoys working with people and thrives in a busy, team-oriented environment. The Patient Care Coordinator plays an important role in both the patient experience and the day-to-day operations of our clinic. This position involves communicating with families, coordinating schedules and insurance requirements, maintaining accurate patient information, and supporting our clinical and administrative teams. The ideal candidate will be organized, personable, comfortable managing multiple priorities, and committed to providing exceptional service to our patients and families. Key Responsibilities Coordinate patient scheduling and assist families with appointment needs Obtain and manage insurance authorizations and precertifications Verify insurance eligibility, coverage, and benefits Communicate with families regarding scheduling, insurance, and other administrative needs Answer and manage phone calls, referrals, and patient inquiries Maintain accurate patient records and documentation Work within our electronic medical record/practice management system Assist with medical billing and other office administrative responsibilities Communicate and collaborate with therapists, providers, families, and other members of the Kidsplay team Help ensure smooth and efficient front-office operations Provide exceptional customer service to our patients and families Assist with business development and other clinic initiatives as needed Preferred Experience The ideal candidate will have experience in one or more of the following areas: Medical office or healthcare administration Patient scheduling and appointment coordination Insurance verification and authorizations Medical billing and insurance processes Electronic medical records (EMR) or practice management software Patient and family communication Front-office operations Managing phone calls, referrals, and patient inquiries Maintaining patient records and documentation Pediatric healthcare or therapy services Occupational, physical, or speech therapy office experience Customer service in a fast-paced environment Previous experience in a pediatric therapy or medical office setting is preferred but not required.
