Position Summary The Clinical Director is responsible for overseeing all clinical operations, ensuring quality of care, regulatory compliance, and staff development within the inpatient treatment program. This role provides direct supervision to clinical staff, maintains oversight of documentation and treatment planning, and collaborates closely with medical, nursing, and operations leadership for a primary mental health residential treatment program. Key Responsibilities Provide leadership and supervision to clinical staff including therapists, case managers, and group facilitators Oversee all aspects of clinical programming, including individual, group, and family therapy services Ensure compliance with Massachusetts state regulations , Joint Commission/CARF standards, and internal policies Review and approve clinical documentation, treatment plans, and discharge summaries Maintain a small caseload (as needed) while supporting overall program quality Collaborate with medical and nursing teams to ensure integrated, holistic care for dual-diagnosis clients Develop and implement clinical programming aligned with evidence-based practices (CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care, etc.) Provide training, mentorship, and performance management for clinical staff Participate in audits, quality assurance initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts Support admissions and utilization review processes as needed, including level-of-care determinations (ASAM criteria) Ensure proper handling of crisis situations and clinical escalations Qualifications Active and unrestricted Massachusetts license: LICSW or LMHC required Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field 5+ years of clinical experience in behavioral health treatment 2+ years of clinical leadership or supervisory experience required Inpatient or residential treatment experience strongly preferred Experience working with dual-diagnosis (co-occurring disorders) populations Strong knowledge of ASAM criteria and levels of care (detox, residential, PHP, IOP) Familiarity with EMR systems (KIPU preferred) Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Pay:

$100,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
