Care and Recreational Activities for Autistic People (CARAFAP)
POSITION
Autism Clinical Coordinator (ACC) CARAFAP is an autism waiver agency and DDA provider that provides services to clients diagnosed with autism. CARAFAP is a fast-paced working environment dedicated to providing outstanding services to our clients. We are seeking to hire an ACC who will work directly with the Executive Director, Program Manager and other Clinical Coordinators in ensuring continuity of services by maintaining day-to-day operations. The candidate must be a fast-learner, reliable, ethical, flexible, willing and able to work in a demanding field with various duties and responsibilities.
Qualifications:
- Associates or Bachelors degree in Human Services, Behavioral Health, Public Health, or a related field preferred
- 1-2 years of administrative or coordination experience in a healthcare, education, or social services setting
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and database systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Be able to pass a state and federal background check
- Good understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other intellectual/developmental disabilities
- Effective oral and written communication skills (i.e., communicating with staff, families and public) Major Responsibilities & Duties (subject to change):
- Ability to conduct interviews for potential hires via phone screenings, virtual or in- person/face-to-face
- Accurately assign/distribute clients services/hours to multiple workers providing services to the same client during the same pay period
- Assist with contractual documents
- Conduct orientation for new hires
- Read and reply appropriately to emails
- Answer phone calls, retrieve and reply to voicemails
- Ability to effectively and efficiently multi-task
- Assist with on-boarding and off-boarding of staff
- Create new hire folders
- Create, update and maintain clients schedules
- Participate in Vendor Fairs (primarily held on weekends)
- Conduct Quality Assurance Reviews
- Monitor and update treatment plans, plans of care (POCs), and client status reports in the census system
- Track and log weekly client service hours and progress notes
- Review documentation and ensure accuracy and timeliness of submissions
- Professional, reliable, creative, honest, ethical, patient, and hardworking
- Willing to work on some weekends
- Other duties assigned
