Alongside Assisted Living is looking for a creative, dependable, and compassionate Activities Coordinator to plan and lead engaging activities for our residents. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with older adults, brings positive energy, and is comfortable working independently. The ideal person will get to know our residents and develop activities based on their interests, personalities, and varying physical and cognitive abilities . This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a consistent, rewarding part-time position with the freedom to be creative and take ownership of our activities program. Responsibilities Plan and lead resident activities approximately 4 afternoons per week Come up with fun, creative, and meaningful activities appropriate for our residents Adapt activities for residents with different physical and cognitive abilities Encourage resident participation and socialization Plan activities ahead of time and arrive prepared Organize and maintain activity supplies Communicate with management regarding upcoming activities and needed materials Independently lead activities while caregivers continue providing resident care Caregivers can assist with bringing residents to the activity area and helping residents get situated, but the Activities Coordinator will be responsible for leading and managing the activity. Activities May Include Arts and crafts, games, puzzles, music, trivia, seasonal projects, gardening, light exercise, sensory activities, cooking or baking projects, and other creative ideas. We don't want activities to be limited to this list—we're looking for someone who enjoys coming up with new ideas! Activity Budget Alongside Assisted Living will provide a monthly budget for reasonable activity supplies and materials , including games, crafts, puzzles, seasonal supplies, cooking ingredients, and other materials needed for planned activities. What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is creative, reliable, patient, organized, and self-motivated . You should be comfortable taking initiative and planning activities with minimal day-to-day supervision. Previous experience working with seniors, individuals with dementia, recreation, education, occupational therapy, social work, childcare, or a related field is a plus, but not required . We are happy to consider the right person who is dependable, creative, and genuinely enjoys working with older adults.

Schedule & Pay Pay:

$20-$23/hour, depending on experience
