This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation, Policy and Programs Group (PPG). As a Supervisory Health Insurance Specialist (Deputy Group Director), GS-0107-15, serve as full deputy and Alter Ego to the Group Director, PPG, and as such, shares fully in the management of all phases of the work of the Group.

In order to qualify for the GS-15 , you must meet the following: You must demonstrate in your resume at least one year (52 weeks) of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal government, obtained in either the private or public sector, to include: 1. Leading studies, projects, qualitative or quantitative analyses to implement or recommend policy or process improvements; AND 2. Collaborating with stakeholders on activities related to implementing, modifying, or divestment of payment models; AND 3. Developing healthcare related written documents (e.g., health care program policy, program guidance, program issue and decision papers, regulations, or other guidance documents) to address payment model design or implementation. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills, and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
