Simpson Family Estates is seeking an energetic, organized, and sales-minded Tasting Room Hospitality Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of the Good Harbor Vineyards tasting room on the Leelanau Peninsula. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who enjoys being on the floor with guests and employees while also taking ownership of sales performance, staffing, inventory, food programming, events, and overall tasting room success. What You'll Do To Lead the Guest Experience Ensure the tasting room is properly opened, organized, stocked, and ready to welcome guests each day. Monitor service throughout the day to ensure every guest receives a warm, engaging, and memorable experience. Elevate the customer experience through thoughtful presentation and consistent execution of service standards. Build brand loyalty through welcoming hospitality, storytelling, wine knowledge, and genuine connections with guests. Lead by example and maintain a visible, hands-on presence on the tasting room floor. Lead & Develop the Team Recruit, hire, onboard, train, schedule, and develop tasting room employees. Lead and coach the Tasting Room Sales Team to achieve daily, monthly, and annual sales goals. Create an environment of teamwork, accountability, enthusiasm, and positive employee relations. Provide ongoing training around wine, hospitality, sales techniques, food service, Wine Club programs, and brand standards. Help employees understand how great hospitality can translate into stronger sales and long-term customer relationships. Drive Sales & Business Performance Routinely analyze tasting room sales metrics and performance to ensure monthly and annual sales goals are achieved. Communicate sales goals to the team and develop strategies to improve performance. Identify opportunities to increase average guest spend, wine sales, Wine Club participation, merchandise sales, food sales, and repeat visitation. Assist with Wine Club activities and maintain a strong understanding of club benefits, programs, policies, and member experiences. Manage Retail, Inventory & Operations Maintain accurate physical inventory of wine, food, merchandise, and tasting room supplies. Manage vendor orders, warehouse transfers, receiving, and monthly physical inventory counts. Select and order on-brand retail merchandise and tasting room supplies. Collaborate with the Simpson Family Estates Brand Ambassador to identify and implement new vendors and products that meet brand standards and support sales goals. Maintain an organized, attractive, and well-stocked retail environment. Oversee the Food Program Ensure the kitchen is properly stocked and maintained. Ensure employees understand and follow food preparation, sanitation, and food safety procedures. Create and execute a limited, rotating menu that complements our wines and enhances the overall guest experience. Monitor food inventory, ordering, presentation, quality, and profitability. Maintain appropriate food safety and sanitation standards throughout the operation. Create Reasons to Visit Year-Round We want our tasting room to be more than a place guests visit once while vacationing in Northern Michigan. This position will help create reasons for customers to return throughout the year. Develop and execute a diverse calendar of year-round tasting room events and programming designed to drive traffic and increase customer engagement. Seek out collaborative opportunities with local businesses, organizations, and community partners. Develop creative ways to increase tasting room traffic during both peak and off-season periods. Identify opportunities that increase local brand awareness and strengthen our connection to the surrounding community. What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who is equally comfortable leading a busy tasting room on a Saturday afternoon and reviewing sales performance on a Monday morning.

Must be able to safely lift and move boxes weighing up to 50 pounds, including moving boxes up and down stairs. Must be able to stand and remain active for extended periods.
