Seeking a dedicated DME Coordinator to join a dynamic orthopedic practice. This role involves managing the fitting and coordination of durable medical equipment (DME), ensuring accurate documentation, inventory control, and effective collaboration with clinical staff to facilitate exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will have a background in athletic training, health sciences, or a related field, with experience in orthopedic or DME settings preferred. This is a 3-month contract with potential for permanent hire, offering a unique opportunity to grow within a recently expanded and thriving office environment supported by Tenet Health.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training, Health Sciences, or related field 1+ years of direct patient care or healthcare experience Basic knowledge of orthopedic DME Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) or Orthopedic Technology certification (preferred) Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities:

Fit and dispense durable medical equipment according to physician orders Educate patients on proper use and care of equipment Document patient interactions, fittings, and charges accurately in the EMR Coordinate DME needs for surgical cases across providers Obtain insurance authorizations as needed Maintain inventory levels, order supplies, and reconcile stock Collaborate with vendors to resolve supply issues Adhere to clinical, regulatory, and compliance standards
