Manage food production processes, including menu planning, food preparation, portion control, and maintaining high-quality food service delivery. Oversee budget management for the dietary department, including purchasing supplies, managing inventory, and controlling costs effectively. Utilize electronic health records (EHR) systems for documenting patient nutrition data, care plans, and departmental activities to ensure seamless communication across healthcare teams. Implement health coaching strategies to educate patients on nutrition and wellness practices that support their recovery journey. Monitor staff performance through supervising experience, team management skills, and providing ongoing training in food safety management and acute care nutrition. Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop comprehensive care plans that integrate nutritional therapy into overall patient treatment strategies. Skills Proven experience in dietary management within a hospital or healthcare setting with a focus on assisted living or acute care environments. Strong knowledge of physiology related to nutrition, clinical nutrition practices, and dietetics principles. Expertise in managing food service teams with supervisory experience in food production and service operations. Familiarity with health regulation policies governing hospital food safety standards and health code compliance. Proficiency in managing electronic health records (EHR) systems for documentation of care plans and nutritional assessments.
