Job Description
Job Description Provides strategic leadership and oversight for the Clinical Value Analysis function, drivingenterprise-wide product standardization, substitution, and utilization initiatives. Develops and implements strategies to ensure the introduction of safe, high-quality, and cost-effective clinicalproducts and services, maximizing value and optimizing patient care. Collaborates with key stakeholders to implement value analysis approaches to be utilized and applied externally. Job Responsibility 1.Sets the strategic direction for the Value Analysis function, developing and communicating a short-term vision across multiple sites, in alignment with organizational goals. 2. Develops and implements strategies, policies, and processes to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational targets. 3.Tracks key performance indicators (KPIs), reports on operational performance, and implements corrective actions as needed. 4.Continuously monitors industry trends and best practices to identify oppotunities for enhancing the effectiveness of the Value Analysis function. 5.Leads enterprise-wide value analysis initiatives, collaborating with facility and system team members to identify and pursue cost reduction opporutnities while maintaining or improving quality or safety. 6.Analyzes complex clinical opportunities, conducts ROI analyses, and presents data-driven insights and recommendations to senior leadership. 7.Builds and maintains strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clinical leaders, supply chain management, procurement, and finance, to advance strategic goals and ensure alignment on value analysis initiatives. 8.Streamlines new product evaluation and introduction processes to maximize clinical customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. 9.Identifies the need for VAT to interact with cross-functional teams to address safety,regulatory and epidemiological issues prior to product selection. 10.Provides leadership, mentorship, and development opportunities to the Value Analysis team, fostering a high performing, collaborative environment. 11.Performs related duties as required. Job Qualification 1.Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or other clinical/health related field required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience. 2.NYS license/certification/ registration as appropriate to clinical area of study. 3.8-12 years of relevant experience and 7+ years of leadership / management experience, required. Strongly Preferred Qualifications Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN), Master's Degree in Healthcare Administration (MHA), or related field, preferred Epic Optime experience Demonstrated experience using data analytics to drive operational and financial improvements in a surgical setting. Experience managing a preference card team in a large, multi-facility, or academic health system. Experience with process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
