Job Description

We currently have a job opportunity for a full-time, friendly and detail-oriented optometric assistant/technician/patient coordinator. The ideal candidate for this position enjoys working in a team environment, desires to learn about eye care and has a passion for helping others. An Optometric Assistant is similar to a Medical Assistant/Patient Coordinator in that they assist with checking in patients, perform basic tests, support the doctor and directly interacts with patients. Requirements High School diploma Previous experience preferred (not required) Ability to multi-task Effective communication skills Must be able to work the following business hours:
Monday:
8:30am•5:30pm
Tuesday:
8:30am•5:30pm
Wednesday:
8:30am•5:30pm
Thursday:
8:30am•5:30pm
Friday:
8:30am•2:00pm No Weekends! Responsibilities Gather patient medical history Use testing equipment to conduct pre-screening exam (autorefractor, iCare, Optomap, OCT, visual fields, visual acuities, etc.) Stock required supplies and maintain equipment Answer telephone Schedule patient appointments Collect payment Verify insurance Patient check-in/check out Other duties as assigned
