Position Summary The Patient Care Coordinator serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while supporting daily front office operations. This role is responsible for scheduling appointments, managing patient information, collecting payments, and ensuring a welcoming and efficient patient experience. Key Responsibilities Greet and assist patients and visitors in person and by phone Manage a multi-line phone system, schedule appointments, and answer inquiries Register patients and update demographic, insurance, and patient portal information Verify patient information, insurance coverage, and payment methods at each visit Collect copays, balances, and applicable fees Maintain accurate schedules and ensure appointment readiness Address patient concerns professionally and escalate when appropriate Support front office operations, including reception area organization and end-of-day tasks Maintain HIPAA compliance and follow all company policies and procedures
Qualifications Required:
High school diploma or equivalent 6+ months of customer service experience
Preferred:
6+ months of medical front desk, reception, or scheduling experience Experience with PM/EHR systems Microsoft Office proficiency Strong computer and technology skills Knowledge of medical billing and insurance payors, including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance Skills & Competencies Exceptional customer service and communication skills Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Professionalism, teamwork, and problem-solving skills Commitment to patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance Flexibility to support business needs and occasional travel between clinics if needed Physical Requirements Lift and move up to 25 lbs. Pay:
$18.54 - $21.82 per hour
