Job Description

An established, privately owned hospitality business is seeking a dependable, experienced Property Manager to oversee daily operations, guest relations, employee supervision, property upkeep, and occupancy growth. We are looking for a hands-on leader who takes ownership of their responsibilities, works independently, and maintains a welcoming, professional environment for guests and employees. The ideal candidate is highly organized, approachable, comfortable making day-to-day operational decisions, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities without constant supervision. This position is well-suited for someone with experience in hospitality, hotel management, property management, resort operations, or a similar customer-focused environment. Key ResponsibilitiesDaily Operations & Guest Relations Oversee daily property operations to ensure a smooth and positive guest experience. Manage reservations, guest arrivals and departures, billing, and general administrative duties. Respond promptly and professionally to guest questions, requests, and concerns. Resolve guest complaints with patience, good judgment, and a customer-service-focused approach. Maintain positive relationships with guests while ensuring company policies and procedures are consistently followed. Monitor occupancy, upcoming reservations, and availability to help maximize guest satisfaction and business performance. Employee Management Supervise, train, and support front-desk and operational employees. Coordinate employee schedules and ensure adequate daily coverage. Maintain a respectful, professional, and positive work environment. Address employee performance concerns constructively and communicate staffing needs to ownership. Lead by example through professionalism, accountability, and a willingness to assist with daily operational tasks when needed. Property Maintenance & Vendor Coordination Conduct regular property walkthroughs and inspections to identify maintenance needs and ensure facilities are clean, safe, and well-maintained. Coordinate and schedule outside contractors, including landscaping, cleaning, plumbing, electrical, and general repair services. Follow up with vendors to ensure work is completed properly and on schedule. Identify potential property issues and communicate larger maintenance needs to ownership. Handle routine operational issues and assist with coordinating responses to unexpected maintenance problems. Monitor property appearance, cleanliness, and overall presentation to maintain a high standard for guests. Marketing & Guest Acquisition Assist with local marketing initiatives and promotional efforts to attract new guests and increase occupancy. Identify opportunities to generate additional reservations through local businesses, community connections, referrals, and other outreach efforts. Help maintain a positive online reputation by encouraging guest reviews and responding professionally to guest feedback. Assist ownership with implementing special promotions, guest retention initiatives, and seasonal marketing efforts. Monitor reservation trends, guest feedback, and local demand to identify opportunities for business growth. Coordinate with ownership on marketing ideas and opportunities to improve overall guest satisfaction and occupancy. Administrative & Management Responsibilities Maintain accurate reservation, payment, billing, and operational records. Monitor daily activities, occupancy, and operational performance while communicating important updates to ownership. Maintain organized procedures, vendor information, and operational documentation. Assist with implementing improvements to guest services, employee procedures, and property operations. Monitor routine operating expenses and help identify opportunities to improve efficiency. Work independently while keeping ownership informed of significant issues and decisions. Qualifications Required Previous experience in hospitality, property management, hotel operations, or a similar customer-facing management role. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations professionally. Experience supervising employees and coordinating day-to-day operations. Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Comfortable using computers, reservation systems, email, and basic office software. Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently with minimal supervision. Dependable, detail-oriented, and willing to take a hands-on approach to property operations. Comfortable performing regular property walkthroughs, including walking outdoors and throughout the facilities, with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to work on-site and provide flexibility for occasional weekend or after-hours operational needs. Willingness to assist with local marketing, guest acquisition, and business growth initiatives. Ability to exercise good judgment, take initiative, and recognize when matters should be escalated to ownership. Preferred Experience managing a hotel, resort, residential property, or similar hospitality business. Familiarity with reservation and property management software. Experience coordinating maintenance vendors and outside contractors. Knowledge of routine property maintenance, guest billing, and administrative procedures. Experience with local marketing, customer retention, community outreach, or other efforts to increase occupancy and revenue.
