Job Description
We are a growing independent Optometry practice in Dripping Springs dedicated to providing the highest level of comprehensive eye care for all ages. We focus heavily on patient experience and a positive team culture. At Eyecare Studio, our mission is to provide a personalized eye care experience with cutting-edge technology and handcrafted eyewear. THE POSITION
The position is fulltime at 35-37 hours per week. No weekend or late nights and Fridays are half days. We are looking for someone who is dynamic and passionate about providing excellent patient care and excited to become a long-term member of our team. Optical experience is preferred but not required—we are willing to train the right person who has a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and desire to learn. Responsibilities will initially include cross training in all aspects of the office.EXPERIENCE
Preferred but NOT required: Optometry / Optical experience Familiarity with patient billing and insurance authorization procedures Hands-on experience in handling customer interactions and reception area in a medical or nonmedical office setting Knowledge of optometry terminology Outstanding knowledge of telephone etiquette, appointment scheduling, and record keeping practices We are willing to train the right candidate if they possess a positive attitude and desire to learn.RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Optical sales, frame styling and dispensing eyeglasses Trouble shooting issues with glasses, including adjusting and repairing eyeglasses Processing orders Answering phone calls and scheduling appointments Greeting patients and checking patients in and out Overseeing patient communication / emails Confirming and verifying insurances, filing insurance claims to vision insurance plans Using electronic health records to manage patient records Communicating effectively and empathetically with patients and colleagues Cross training in all aspects of the office Maintaining a clean and comfortable environment for our patientsQUALIFICATIONS
