Day Support Manager - Job Description The following is a job description and duties for the Day Support Manager position. The below is not limited to and could require other duties in line with the verbiage herein. The Day Support Manager position provides direction, development, implementation, direct supervision, and monitoring of the day support services that are provided by
GREAT DAY RESIDENTIAL.
This position has the responsibility of implementing approved assessments and individual service and/or treatment plans. Knowledge of characteristics and concepts of intellectual disabilities, mental health, health disorders and related physical conditions and treatment approaches. The Day Support Manager is responsible for conducting the day-to-day functions within the day program setting. This includes securing the well-being and safety of the clients, the observation, direct supervision, and evaluation of Direct Support Staff and Providing coverage as needed.
  • Responsibilities also include maintenance and repairs to the program, vehicles, and other equipment.
The Day Support Manager duties includes: Overall management of the program, ensuring coverage and supervision of all clients and staff, and providing temporary coverage as needed. Assistance in the development and approval of the assessments and ISP for each individual in the program. Implementation and documentation of the clients' day support ISP goals. Supervising and monitoring individuals and their engagement in meaningful activities that address ISP outcomes. Ensuring that the fundamental rights of each individual in the program are protected.
  • Report to every shift on time. Call outs could result in termination as this is an essential job position within the company.
  • Ability to implement and follow the policies and procedures of
GREAT DAY RESIDENTIAL
  • Ability to participate with the Program Director or Executive Directors in the design and implementation of training and programmatic activities.
  • No non-employee will be allowed in the building during any time of day.
  • Coordinating and participating in appropriate leisure, social and daily living activities in the residence and in the community. This includes transporting the individuals to and from their destinations. These activities also include shopping trips and medical, dental and mental health appointments.
  • Meeting deadlines and completing all necessary paperwork Minimum Qualification include: At least one year of documented experience working directly with individuals who have intellectual or developmental disabilities. At least one year of management experience working directly with individuals who have intellectual or developmental disabilities while also managing direct staff.
  • Consideration may be made in lieu of the educational component if the applicant has equivalent experience, characterized by: -At least 5 years of paid experience in providing direction, development and implementation, direct supervision, and monitoring (observation and evaluation of staff implementing care, service plans and interacting with clients) of the service provided.
Documented experience must be provided that demonstrates the applicants experience developing and approving assessments and individual service or treatment plans. This position is under the direct supervision of the Program Director and Vice President of Operations.
