Responsibilities Manage and explain treatment plans to patients, ensuring they understand procedures, costs, and insurance coverage. Coordinate with dental providers to confirm treatment details and scheduling. Verify patient insurance benefits and process claims accurately using patient management software and electronic health records (EHR). Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information in compliance with health regulation policies and HIPAA standards. Communicate effectively via phone and client communication channels to answer questions, reschedule appointments, and follow up on outstanding payments or documentation. Support administrative tasks such as data entry, typing reports, and updating patient records in EMR/EHR systems. Assist patients with understanding their health insurance options and guide them through the billing process while maintaining excellent customer service. Experience Prior experience working in a medical or dental office environment is highly preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel for documentation and reporting purposes. Knowledge of health regulation policies including HIPAA compliance is essential. Experience with medical administrative support functions such as appointment scheduling, patient management software, and electronic health records (EHR) management. Strong understanding of medical terminology related to dental procedures and treatments. Excellent phone communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive information discreetly. Demonstrated ability to provide outstanding customer service while managing multiple priorities efficiently.
