With 30,000+ players across 10 sports each year , we're about more than sports—we're about community, connection, and creating memorable experiences. We're seeking an energetic, motivated Basketball Program Manager to lead, grow, and manage our basketball leagues and programs. This is a unique opportunity for a basketball professional who is passionate about sports, enjoys working with people, and is motivated by sales, business development, and program growth . As the candidate progresses in the role and demonstrates success, there will be opportunities to take on additional sports programs and expanded responsibilities within HUB Sports Boston. The Basketball Program Manager reports to the Director of Sales & Programming and will play a key role in growing the basketball business. Key Responsibilities Drive sales outreach to recruit new players, teams, and participants. Leverage your basketball network to start, grow, promote, and build basketball leagues. Develop strategies to increase participation, revenue, and player retention. Manage league formats, locations, schedules, and skill levels. Own player and league communications from registration through the season. Serve as the primary customer-service contact for player questions, issues, and feedback. Manage the sales process from initial outreach through registration. Build strong relationships with players, teams, facilities, officials, and other key stakeholders. Identify creative opportunities to grow programs through networking, partnerships, social media, outreach, and grassroots efforts. Manage equipment and inventory. Attend HUB meetings, events, league nights, and quarterly tournaments. Support other HUB Sports Boston programs and initiatives as needed. Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred. 3-5 years of basketball experience required. Strong basketball knowledge and an established basketball network. Sales, recruiting, business development, or program-growth experience preferred. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer-service skills. Self-starter who can work independently and take ownership. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Comfortable with computer software and technology. Outgoing personality, positive attitude, and sense of humor. "Whatever it takes" attitude with a strong work ethic. Valid driver's license and reliable access to a vehicle required. Passion for basketball and sports is a must! Compensation & Schedule Part-Time | Approximately 25 hours/week | Expected Earnings $30K - $40K Annually $1,500/month for office and program-management responsibilities based on a minimum of 15 hours/week. $25/hour for on-site management of existing basketball programs, estimated at 10 hours/week. 10% commission on incremental revenue generated through the growth of HUB Sports Boston's basketball programs, providing significant earning potential based on program performance.
Schedule:
Minimum 15 hours/week in the office, plus approximately 10 hours/week of on-site league management. The Opportunity This is more than a league-management position.
