Job Description

Job Summary Licensed Per Diem Histotech! We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Histotechnologist to join our team and assist in providing additional coverage during staffing shortages and days of high volume. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the preparation and processing of tissue specimens for microscopic examination, contributing to accurate diagnoses and patient care. Responsibilities Prepare and process tissue specimens for histological examination, ensuring adherence to laboratory procedures and protocols. Perform embedding, sectioning, and staining of tissue samples using various laboratory techniques, including special stains and immunohistochemistry. Maintain appropriate QC documentation. Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance. Maintain quality throughout all responsibilities. Uphold safety protocols and regulations within the clinical laboratory environment. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Histotechnology or a related field is preferred. Licensure as a Histotechnologist or Histotechnician (State of Florida) is required. Strong knowledge of laboratory techniques and procedures related to histology and pathology. Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work under pressure. Able to work independently and as part of the collective team. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team and managers. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in patient care. Pay:
