Respite services give individuals with developmental disabilities individualized support while also providing relief to their regular caregivers. Our goal is to provide safe, consistent, person-centered support that respects each client's preferences, abilities, routines, and independence. Schedule Part-time Available shifts depend on client schedules and include: Weekdays (late afternoon to evening) Weekends What You'll Do As a Respite DSP, you may: Provide one-on-one supervision and support in the client's home or community Assist with personal care and daily living activities when needed Support clients with established routines and household activities Encourage independence by allowing clients to participate in tasks to the fullest extent possible Participate in recreational and community activities based on client interests Provide support with meals and snacks Assist clients with safe mobility and transfers when applicable Follow individualized support plans and established behavioral strategies Recognize changes in behavior, functioning, or support needs and communicate concerns appropriately Respond calmly and safely to challenging behaviors Maintain professional boundaries and protect client privacy Complete required service documentation accurately and on time Communicate effectively with clients, families, supervisors, and other members of the support team Maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive environment throughout each shift Who We're Looking For A strong candidate is patient, observant, reliable, and comfortable working independently. Because services are provided one-on-one, DSPs must be able to follow established support plans while using sound judgment in day-to-day situations. Experience supporting individuals with autism, intellectual disabilities, developmental disabilities, or behavioral support needs is strongly preferred. Requirements Must be at least 18 years old CPR and First Aid certification, or ability to obtain required certification Ability to successfully complete required background and employment screening Reliable transportation to assigned service locations Valid driver's license and appropriate automobile insurance when driving is required for an assignment Ability to meet applicable training and program requirements

Pay:

$22.00 - $23.00 per hour
