Duties Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability Support medication administration under supervision or as trained, following proper safety protocols Operate manual handling equipment like Hoyer lifts safely to transfer residents with mobility challenges Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary Engage residents in social activities and provide companionship to promote mental well-being Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and laundry Follow established care plans and document care provided accurately in compliance with regulations Respond promptly to emergency situations using first aid or CPR skills when required Communicate effectively with clients' families and healthcare teams to ensure coordinated care Skills Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or residential care environments is highly valued Strong understanding of ADLs assistance, dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and geriatrics best practices Knowledge of vital signs monitoring, medication administration, safe patient lifting practices, and first aid/CPR certification Ability to operate standard passenger vehicles safely for client transportation when needed Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments is preferred Excellent communication skills for engaging with clients' families and healthcare providers Physical stamina for heavy lifting and manual handling tasks throughout shifts Compassionate attitude with a focus on client-centered support and behavior management techniques This role offers an enriching opportunity to develop your caregiving expertise while making a positive impact on the lives of those you serve.
