Overview Join our compassionate healthcare team as a Medication Aide, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Personal Care Assistant (PCA), or Caregiver, and make a meaningful difference in the lives of those you serve! This dynamic role offers an exciting opportunity to provide essential patient care in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, and home care settings. You will work closely with healthcare professionals to deliver personalized support that promotes dignity, independence, and well-being for individuals with diverse needs, including those with developmental disabilities, dementia, Alzheimer's, and other chronic conditions. Duties Assist residents and patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, and hygiene to enhance comfort and independence. Administer medications accurately following prescribed protocols while adhering to HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards. Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature; document findings meticulously using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) or EHR systems like Epic or Cerner. Support patients with specialized needs such as tube feeding, catheter care, and other medical procedures under supervision or according to training. Observe and report changes in health status or behavior promptly to nursing staff or healthcare providers to ensure timely interventions. Maintain a safe environment by following infection control procedures and ensuring proper use of medical equipment. Engage with residents in activities that promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being within memory care or hospice settings. Experience Prior experience working in assisted living communities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments is highly desirable. Familiarity with medical terminology, physiology, anatomy knowledge, and patient care techniques enhances your ability to deliver quality support. Experience using EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner for accurate medical documentation is preferred. Knowledge of dementia care practices including Alzheimer's and memory care strategies is advantageous. Demonstrated ability to work compassionately with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges is essential. Previous roles involving medication administration or tube feeding are beneficial but not mandatory; training will be provided if needed.
