Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team, working from Monday through Thursday, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, cognitive impairments, and age-related conditions. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance Support residents with medication administration following prescribed protocols and safety guidelines Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability Implement behavior management techniques tailored to individual needs and care plans Operate manual handling equipment like Hoyer lifts safely for resident transfers Prepare nutritious meals in accordance with dietary requirements and assist with feeding when necessary Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, resident progress, and incident reports Uphold residents' rights by respecting their autonomy and promoting independence within a safe environment Engage residents in social activities and community outings to foster socialization and engagement Follow infection control procedures through cleaning routines and sanitation practices Requirements Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or residential care homes is highly preferred Knowledge of assisting with ADLs, dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, geriatrics, and home & community care settings Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; ongoing training encouraged Ability to operate standard passenger vehicles safely for transportation needs Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments is advantageous Physical capability for heavy lifting and safe patient handling practices including manual handling techniques Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and teamwork Familiarity with resident's rights, medication administration protocols, and behavior management strategies Join us in providing compassionate support that empowers individuals to live fulfilling lives.
