Position Summary:

RBT will provide clinical skills instruction and behavior reduction protocols to prepare adults with developmental disabilities and mental illness in residing in a short-term stabilization homes and long-term homes to live successfully in a community integrated living arrangement. DSP will utilize Principles of Applied Behavior Analysis to improve socially significant behavior based on the values of individual self-worth, dignity, equality and respect for individual independence by maximizing opportunities to participate in the community, engage in social relationships, and be successful in fulfilling goals important to the individual. Provide direct support care in 1:1 and group settings utilizing a combination of teaching and natural environment training arrangements called for in treatment plans. Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Support and encourage everyday use of learned skills and abilities as part of the natural daily routine.
• Implement activities outlined in schedules as well as develop an array of leisure and coping skills activities to engage in both independently and with others.
• Encourage skills necessary to develop increased socialization.
• Accompany individuals on outings, appointments or events away from the home using necessary vehicles in accordance with individual needs, goals, and planned events or in emergencies following instructions from QIDP, Nurse or Supervisory personnel to maintain health, safety and welfare.
• Monitor individuals for appropriateness of clothing, personal hygiene, behavior, skin condition, etc.

Pay:

$20.00 - $27.00 per hour
