Job Overview Join our dedicated team as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, and other special needs. In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, personalized support to help individuals achieve greater independence, enhance their quality of life, and participate actively in their communities. Your energy and commitment will empower those you serve to reach their full potential through engaging care, skill-building, and positive reinforcement. Duties Assist individuals with daily living activities such as grooming, dressing, meal preparation, and personal hygiene (ADLs) to promote independence and dignity Implement behavior management strategies to support positive behaviors and address challenging situations effectively Provide transportation and driving support for appointments, community outings, or activities to foster community engagement Collect data on progress and behaviors to track development goals and inform care plans Administer medications following prescribed protocols to ensure safety and compliance Document daily interactions, incidents, and progress notes accurately for ongoing care coordination Skills Excellent communication skills Ability to assist with ADLs (Activities of Daily Living) such as bathing, grooming, feeding, changing briefs and mobility support Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for transportation responsibilities Compassionate caregiving attitude with patience, flexibility, and a genuine desire to support others' growth and well-being High School Diploma/Or GED Pass Background checks and random drug screenings Join us in creating a supportive environment where every individual is valued!
