Duties Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene to promote dignity and independence Monitor residents' health by taking vital signs, observing patient conditions, and reporting changes to healthcare professionals Support medication administration following HIPAA guidelines to ensure safety and compliance Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning to meet individual dietary needs Operate patient transfer equipment such as Hoyer lifts and assist with mobility using proper manual handling techniques Maintain cleanliness of living spaces through routine cleaning tasks to ensure a safe and hygienic environment Support residents during community outings or appointments using personal transportation assistance when needed Implement care plans tailored to each individual's needs, including dementia care, Alzheimer's care, or support for developmental disabilities Document observations accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations and facility policies Assist with specialized care such as hospice, neurodevelopmental disorders, or autism spectrum support as required Skills Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly desirable Strong patient observation skills to monitor health status and behavioral changes effectively Knowledge of patient care techniques including patient personal care assistance and assisting with ADLs Familiarity with medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts, blood pressure cuffs, thermometers, and other vital signs monitoring tools Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual transfers using proper methods Experience working with individuals with disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism or intellectual disabilities support is preferred Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and confidentiality Basic first aid and CPR certification to respond promptly in emergencies Ability to work independently while following detailed care plans and protocols Compassionate caregiving attitude focused on resident rights, dignity, and well-being Join us in making a positive impact by providing compassionate support that empowers individuals to live fulfilling lives.
