Duties Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using proper patient transfer methods and manual handling techniques like Hoyer lifts when necessary. Monitor patients' health by taking vital signs, observing changes in condition, and reporting findings accurately to healthcare professionals. Support medication administration following HIPAA guidelines and care plans to ensure safety and compliance. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding as required. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and ensuring infection control protocols are followed. Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being, especially for residents with dementia, Alzheimer's, autism, or other neurodevelopmental disorders. Support residents' rights by respecting privacy, promoting independence, and encouraging participation in community activities or outings with personal transportation assistance. Requirements

NEED TO FLUENTLY SPEAK SPANISH

Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities, developmental or intellectual disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or geriatrics in settings such as group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments. Knowledge of patient observation techniques, patient monitoring procedures, and familiarity with care plans tailored to individual needs. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications such as medication administration training or hospice care experience are a plus. Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physical tasks involving manual handling equipment like Hoyer lifts. Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and documentation while maintaining confidentiality per HIPAA regulations. Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed to provide consistent care.
