Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to support our 10 year old son who has Down Syndrome and Global Developmental Delay . This position is ideal for professionals who are building a career in behavioral therapy, pediatric developmental support, or special education . We are particularly interested in applicants who have experience working in a private home setting, with children requiring behavioral intervention, structured developmental activities, and consistent therapeutic support. Responsibilities Provide one-on-one care and supervision in the home and community Assist with daily living activities including dressing, hygiene, feeding, toileting and transitions Implement imaginative play and developmental activities Support emotional regulation and positive behavior using therapeutic strategies Follow care plans and collaborate with parents and therapy providers Encourage communication, engagement, and independence Maintain a safe, patient, and supportive environment

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with children with developmental delays or behavioral challenges Background in behavioral therapy, early childhood intervention, or special education Experience with structured behavioral strategies and positive reinforcement Strong patience, communication skills, and reliability Passion for working with children with special needs as a career path

Pay:

$25.00 - $35.00 per hour
