We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and energetic Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide essential care and support to individuals with diverse needs in our Cokato home. We are currently hiring for full-time day/evening hours including rotating weekends. Hours are Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday 2pm-9pm with rotating weekends 9am-9pm Job Overview In this vital role, you will use a person-centered approach to assist in independence, promote well-being, and enhance quality of life through personalized assistance in residential and community settings. Duties Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and dignity Monitor residents' health and behavior, reporting any changes to necessary healthcare professionals Support medication administration in accordance with care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and compliance. Administer first aid as needed Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning to meet individual dietary needs and preferences Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties Assist with recreational activities and social engagements to promote well-being Document care activities accurately in resident records, including progress notes and incident reports, adhering to confidentiality standards Follow 245D licensing requirements Option to promote within Requirements Must be 18 years old or older Must pass a background check Must have a valid driver's license Strong-willed, self-motivated, and reliable Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is preferred but not required Ability to assist with toileting and personal hygiene Ability to prepare meals and assist with cooking Experience in cleaning and maintaining a safe living space Strong communication skills Physical ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and work on your feet for extended periods Compassionate attitude with patience for supporting individuals through their unique needs and challenges Reliable; able to work all scheduled shifts

Pay:

$18.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
