Amani Care Services in Mankato, MN is looking for a passionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join their caring team. Responsibilities:

Provide direct care and daily living support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, meal preparation, and household tasks Implement individualized support plans (ISPs) and document progress accurately Transport and accompany clients to medical appointments, community activities, and social outings Administer medications and follow health care protocols as directed Foster independence, dignity, and community inclusion for all individuals served Communicate effectively with supervisors, families, and care team members

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED equivalent Must have legal authorization to work in the United States (valid work permit or employment authorization required) Must be 18 years of age or older Valid driver's license is required Previous experience in direct support, caregiving, or human services preferred Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to pass a background check as required by Minnesota DHS CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire) Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate, patient, and person-centered approach Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, or overnight as needed
