Job Summary We're hiring compassionate and dependable Personal Care Assistants to join our team. In this role, you'll support clients in the comfort of their homes by assisting with daily activities like personal care, bathing, dressing, meal preparation, and light housekeeping. You may also help with errands and provide friendly reminders to keep clients on track with their daily routines. You'll play a big part in creating a safe, clean, and caring environment while staying in communication with your supervisor and following all care guidelines. Work Location This is a field-based position. Caregivers provide services in clients' homes, and work locations will vary based on client assignments. Assignments may be located throughout South Mississippi, and employees must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel within the service area as needed. Responsibilities Assist clients with personal hygiene, dressing, bathing, meal preparation and grooming Remind clients to take medication. (Personal Care Assistants are not allowed to administer medication to clients.) Provide services outlined in the Health Aide Duty Sheet Communicate with your Supervisor immediately if there's an issue of any kind Comply with all policies, rules, and regulations established by Healing Hands Home Healthcare, LLC Practice preventive safety and health techniques at all times Light housekeeping like wash dishes, bathroom clean up, mop/sweep/vacuum floors Possibly grocery shopping, run errands, etc. Skills Proven experience in assisted living, home health, or long-term care environments Knowledge of patient care procedures including CPR, First Aid, Alzheimer's care, dementia care, and hospice support Ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorders Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and recognizing changes in condition Excellent communication skills for collaborating with healthcare teams and families Physical stamina for heavy lifting and assisting with mobility tasks Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of patient information Experience working in group homes or nursing homes is highly valued Competence in meal preparation, cleaning, and maintaining a safe environment Join us as a Personal Care Assistant to make a positive impact on the lives of those in your care.
