Direct Support Professional Responsibilities:

Providing direct care and supervision for individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities to increase their independence in their home and community. Providing support with medical and specialist appointments and ensuring accurate documentation of each appointment. Providing support with daily activities including but not limited to hygiene, volunteer, or leisure actives. Completing all required documentation according to regulations and standards. Participating in meetings with individual support plan team to create inclusive and person-centered services Participating in initial and on-going staff training and development activities

Direct Support Professional Qualifications:

Experience with providing support to individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities preferred Must possess excellent customer service skills, a flexible and cooperative attitude, and the ability to work well as part of a team Be at least 18 years old. Possess a valid NJ Driver's License with a clean driving record, valid vehicle registration, and insurance. Successfully complete required background checks. Ability to lift at least 50 pounds. Frequent bending, twisting, stooping, squatting, pushing, pulling, standing, reaching, walking, driving, traveling, kneeling, and crouching.
