This role provides in-home support to help them maintain as much independence as possible. They are looking for someone to spend time with them during the day and help them work toward their personal goals.

Goals include:

Building social skills - such as asking for help, communicating with their roommate, and respecting boundaries Developing independent living skills - including cooking, cleaning, laundry, and personal care Making healthy food and beverage choices We are looking for a dependable, enthusiastic, and motivated DSP. Experience supporting individuals with disabilities is preferred but not required. To apply, please submit a resume or summary of experience. Candidate must possess a keen sense of attention to detail, especially when electronically logging each day's time, mileage, and service documentation. DSP must have a valid email address. Hours and days of work Sunday (12 PM - 7 PM) (Full-time opportunities may be available) Pay rate: $20.50 per hour when providing direct support. The hourly rate for indirect/training is $16 per hour.

Education & Experience:

GED or High School Diploma preferred. Applicable job experience preferred.

Desired Skills and Abilities:

previous experience working 1:1 in a related service environment preferred. Knowledge of disability related issues preferred.

The individual does not have the authority to set the staff salary in this model. The Mentor is paid at the provider's rate for the service based on an assessment of the specific support needs of the individual in the areas of behavioral support, communication support, and physical support needs.
