As a Direct Support Professional, you'll play a vital role in enhancing the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities—both at home and in the community. You'll provide person-centered care, encourage independence, and ensure safety and dignity in every interaction. Duties Deliver hands-on support with daily living activities, personal care, and mobility Foster independence and community involvement for individuals with disabilities Implement and adapt individualized care plans and behavioral strategies (BSP) Ensure a safe, respectful environment that protects individual rights and well-being Support individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other diverse needs Maintain strict confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA standards Provide transportation and accompany individuals to medical, therapy, and community appointments Skills Strong knowledge of behavioral support plans (BSPs) and home care practices Ability to assist individuals with mobility and personal care needs Proficient in goal tracking and implementing individualized support strategies Solid understanding of individual rights, person-centered advocacy, and HIPAA compliance Compassionate, reliable, and adaptable with excellent interpersonal skills
Requirements:
Valid driver's license and access to your own reliable transportation. Prior experience as a DSP Additional Details
