Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to provide essential care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, seniors, and those requiring assistance in daily living activities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients through personalized care and support. This role requires a blend of empathy, patience, and practical skills to ensure the well-being of those we serve. Duties Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming. Provide support in meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients. Help clients engage in social and recreational activities to promote independence and community involvement. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties. Document client progress and report any changes in behavior or health to the appropriate personnel. Support individuals with developmental disabilities by implementing individualized care plans. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality. Assist with heavy lifting as needed for clients with mobility challenges. Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining confidentiality. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. Computer skills are necessary A caring attitude and the ability to build rapport with clients.
