Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will have experience in various healthcare settings, including outpatient clinics, inpatient facilities, or trauma centers. This role is crucial in ensuring the comfort and well-being of our clients, fostering a supportive environment that promotes independence and dignity. Duties Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing. Support clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety at all times. Help with meal preparation and feeding as needed, adhering to dietary restrictions. Monitor and record clients' health status, reporting any changes to the healthcare team. Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to enhance their quality of life. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties. Collaborate with medical staff in various settings including Level I and Level II trauma centers, outpatient clinics, teaching hospitals, emergency medicine departments, hospital medicine units, and PICUs. Experience Previous experience as a Personal Care Assistant or in a similar role is preferred. Previous Nursing Ass Familiarity with healthcare practices in both outpatient and inpatient settings is advantageous. Experience working in a Level I Trauma Center or Level II Trauma Center is a plus. Knowledge of emergency medicine protocols and hospital medicine practices is beneficial. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment are essential.
