Position Overview GTI Laboratories is seeking a Full-Time Laboratory Assistant II to join our Scottsdale, Arizona laboratory team. This position is ideal for individuals with a strong science or laboratory education who want to build their careers in clinical and molecular diagnostics. Previous professional laboratory experience is not required, making this an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a clinical laboratory setting. Candidates with experience or education in genetics, molecular biology, PCR testing, or related laboratory techniques are strongly encouraged to apply, though this experience is not required. What You'll Do Perform laboratory procedures including pipetting, specimen preparation, aliquoting, and sample processing Assist with molecular, genetic, PCR, and other laboratory testing workflows Prepare specimens, reagents, and materials for testing and analysis Accurately maintain laboratory data and documentation Follow established SOPs, quality standards, and safety protocols Ensure proper specimen handling, labeling, storage, and processing Assist with laboratory equipment operation and routine maintenance Maintain clean, organized, and compliant laboratory workspaces Collaborate with laboratory staff to meet workflow goals and turnaround times Participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives

11:00 AM - 7:00 PM Schedule and hours may be adjusted based on laboratory and operational needs. Education Requirements Candidates must meet at least one of the following: Bachelor's Degree or higher in biological science, chemical science, clinical/medical laboratory science, medical technology, or a related field; or Associate Degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology; or At least 60 semester hours from an accredited institution, including either 24 semester hours of medical laboratory technology courses or 24 semester hours of science courses consisting of at least six hours of chemistry, six hours of biology, and 12 additional hours of chemistry, biology, or medical laboratory technology. Candidates qualifying through the 60-semester-hour pathway must also have completed an approved clinical laboratory training program or have at least three months of documented training in the applicable testing specialty. Saturday Pay & Benefits Starting Pay:
$22.00 per hour
Training Completion Pay:
$24.00 per hour following successful completion of the training period
