Full Job Description Role:

Laboratory Technician responsible for performing a variety of manual and automated laboratory tests to aid in disease diagnosis and treatment.

Key Duties:

Analyze patient samples, ensuring result reliability based on patient demographics and specimen criteria. Perform calibration, analyze quality control data, and verify test accuracy. Participate in proficiency testing, performance improvement, and continuing education. Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs on laboratory instruments. Handle Laboratory and Hospital Information Systems (LIS and HIS) functions. Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and accreditation standards. Maintain documentation, monitor supplies, and uphold workplace cleanliness. Provide excellent face-to-face and telephone customer service.

Qualifications and Skills:

Associates degree in General Studies or related field. Certifications such as MLT(ASCP), MLT(AAB), MT(AAB), MT(HEW), or MT(ASCP) are required upon hire; CLT(NCA) acceptable. Minimum of 1 year experience in a CLIA-accredited laboratory preferred. Strong organizational skills, basic computer proficiency, and experience with LIS and Microsoft software preferred.
