Job Description

Optim Medical Center - Screven is seeking a PRN Medical Laboratory Technician for our Reidsville, GA location.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Performing phlebotomy and preparing specimen for in-house and reference lab testing. Performs technical lab functions including operating automated chemistry, hematology, immunology, and urinalysis instruments under the supervision of the Medical Technologist. Performs manual tests in accordance with detailed instructions. Verifies quality control according to laboratory protocol and is accurate in record keeping. Reports test results following clinical protocols under supervision of Medical Technologist, alerting physicians or nurses immediately of critical and abnormal results. Assists Medical Technologist with maintaining instruments, equipment and inventory of supplies. Complies with all quality assurance policies and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations related to safety, cleanliness, and infection control. Operate effectively in LIS and office EMR computer systems. Duties may vary as need arises.
Required skills:
