$18/hour plus 10% Shift Differential - Rate is $19.80/hour

DIRECT EXPERIENCE

as listed in the resume. Job Responsibilities

Receive, sort, and prepare patient specimens for laboratory testing.

Centrifuge, aliquot, label, and organize specimens according to established procedures.

Check specimens for clots, fibrin, and other issues that may affect testing.

Prepare worklists and specimens at designated laboratory workstations.

Perform routine laboratory equipment maintenance and ensure workstations are clean and ready for use.

Prepare reagents, media, slides, and other materials needed for daily laboratory operations.

Monitor and resolve pending specimens and locate missing samples as needed.

Enter and maintain accurate specimen, temperature, and laboratory records in the laboratory information system.

Perform assigned quality control and quality assurance activities.

Properly handle and dispose of biohazardous materials while following all PPE and laboratory safety requirements.

Complete required training and competency activities and follow established laboratory procedures.

Collaborate with laboratory staff and other personnel to support efficient daily laboratory operations.

Education Required

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Medical Assistant training is preferred.

Coursework in mathematics and/or science is preferred.

Experience Required

No prior laboratory or healthcare work experience required.
