In this role, you'll play a critical part in ensuring specimens are accurately processed, prepared, and shipped for specialized testing while delivering exceptional service to both internal and external customers.

Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 2:30pm-11:00pm Why This Role Matters As a Referral Representative, you will serve as a key link between laboratory operations, clients, and referral testing vendors. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will help ensure accurate test processing, timely reporting, and a positive customer experience. What You'll Do Retrieve, sort, process, and prepare specimens for shipment to referral laboratories Verify specimen quality and accuracy, identifying and resolving issues related to specimen type, temperature, quantity, and documentation Prepare shipments in accordance with IATA regulations and established laboratory procedures Investigate and resolve complex referral testing inquiries and service-related issues Communicate test status updates, test-not-performed notifications, and laboratory incidents to clients Report laboratory results and coordinate with clients, vendors, and internal teams regarding testing matters Research test availability and assist with referral vendor selection Maintain accurate records, documentation, and departmental files Adhere to all CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and laboratory safety requirements What We're Looking For A current, up-to-date resume High School Diploma or equivalent Minimum of one (1) to two (2) years of clinical laboratory experience Customer service and/or medical background preferred Basic understanding of Client Services, Specimen Processing, and Referral Testing operations Knowledge of basic medical terminology applicable to a clinical laboratory environment Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks independently Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and Laboratory Information Systems Ability to stand, walk, and perform bench work for extended periods and lift materials as required Ability to meet compliance requirements What's In It For You Opportunity to work with a leading healthcare diagnostics organization Gain valuable experience in referral testing and laboratory operations Collaborative and team-oriented work environment Hands-on exposure to laboratory systems, specimen processing, and customer service functions Potential pathway to long-term career opportunities Benefits for Manpower Associates (Upon Eligibility) Upon completion of waiting period associates are eligible for: Medical and Prescription Drug Plans Dental Plan Supplemental Life Insurance Short Term Disability Insurance 401(k)
