Lab Assistant Health Ministries Clinic (HMC) | Newton, Kansas Health Ministries Clinic is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Lab Assistant to join our laboratory team. This is a great opportunity to be part of a mission-driven healthcare organization where your work directly supports quality patient care in our community. This full-time position offers a 4-day workweek . The regular schedule is 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM or 6:00 PM . On Tuesdays , the workday may extend to 6:30 PM or 7:00 PM when you are scheduled for the Friday-off rotation . What You'll Do Assist with receiving, labeling, processing, and preparing patient specimens Support in-house laboratory testing and reference laboratory send-outs Maintain accurate documentation and records Assist with laboratory equipment, supplies, and routine maintenance Follow established safety, quality, and infection-control procedures Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA Work closely with laboratory and clinical staff to ensure timely specimen processing Help maintain an organized, clean, and efficient laboratory environment What We're Looking For Previous laboratory, healthcare, or specimen-processing experience preferred Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to follow written procedures accurately Excellent communication and teamwork skills Commitment to patient confidentiality, safety, and quality Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment Why HMC?
