Job Description
Job Summary The Extraction Support Technician assists with daily extraction and laboratory operations, including material preparation, equipment support, inventory tracking, and waste management. This role ensures accurate documentation and strict compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations while supporting productivity and operational efficiency. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist with delivery intakes and organizing bulk storage Prepare bulk material for extraction Assist in cleaning and taking out waste Follow all directions from Extraction Manager Comply with all safety, health, and environmental rules and regulations designed to ensure a safe work environment Maintain a clean and orderly workspace Assist with equipment maintenance Complies with all established safety, health, and environmental rules and regulations designed to ensure a safe work environment Utilize excel and other computer applications to track inventory, ongoing consumables, maintain production accountability, etc. Maintains vigilant situational awareness for all lab equipment, safety, and personal. Reports any suspected issues. Maintains accurate documentation of daily production with a high level of organization and accountability. Documents results pertaining to strength, stability, purity, chemical content, and other characteristics Maintains regular and reliable attendance; arrives on time for shifts, meetings, and scheduled responsibilities. Ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent. Safely handles, stores, and uses hazardous chemicals in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Meets established productivity standards and completes work within required timeframes. Strives to increase efficiency while maintaining quality. Uses company resources responsibly and seeks opportunities to minimize waste or unnecessary expenses. Education and Experience Required High school diploma or general education degree (GED) One-year-related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. Knowledge and Skills Language Skills Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage, and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Internet software; Order processing systems; Project Management software; Spreadsheet software (Excel) and Word Processing software.
