Job Description
Job Summary Minnesota DHIA Laboratories is urgently seeking a dependable, and detail-loving entry-level Laboratory Technician to join our team. If you've ever wondered what happens after a milk sample leaves the farm, this is where the magic happens. No lab experience? No problem. We'll provide the training, you bring the willingness to learn. If you're looking for a hands-on role where precision matters, teamwork is valued, and your work supports dairy farmers and food quality, we'd love to meet you. What You'll Be Doing Preparing milk samples for testing according to established procedures Running basic lab procedures like sample prep, processing, and data collection Keeping your workspace clean, organized, supplied, and ready for action Pitching in with other tasks that keep the lab running smoothly What Helps You Succeed Here You thrive in a fast-paced environment and can adapt to changing demands You don't mind being on your feet most of the day, occasional lifting, etc. You have a strong eye for detail and take pride in accuracy You're organized and can juggle multiple tasks You work well with a team — but can also handle your own responsibilities You can follow standard procedures and stay open to learning new ones Basic computer skills are helpful No previous milk laboratory experience is necessary, and we provide training. Experience in laboratory work, dairy or agriculture, manufacturing, quality control, technology, employee supervision, or operations management may qualify a candidate for higher starting pay and consideration for promotion. Opportunities for promotion and cross-training in multiple departments are available. A college degree is not necessarily required. Demonstrated ability, reliability, experience, and leadership potential are important to us. About Minnesota DHIA Minnesota DHIA is a member-focused dairy organization providing laboratory testing, field services, herd information, and other services to dairy producers. The results produced in our laboratory provide farmers with important information they use to make real management decisions.
