Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) is hiring a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) to join our Sleep Center in Bolivar, MO — someone who leads with skill, compassion, and a drive to positively impact every patient and family we serve.
Position Details Status:
Full-time Work Shift:
Nights Hours:
7:00pm-7:00am, 72 hours every 2 weeks
Shift Differential:
$2.25/hr. between 11pm and 7am
What Your Day Looks Like:
The RPSGT will perform overnight sleep studies, monitor patients throughout testing, troubleshoot equipment, and provide a safe and comfortable environment for patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic sleep studies. As a Polysomnographic Technician, you will be: Performing pre-test set up and maintenance of equipment, supplies, and forms, including performing machine calibrations at the beginning of each week and making sure rooms are clean and welcoming for patients. Greeting patients at entry to lab, providing pre-testing instruction and needed demonstration to patients, and answering all questions to patients' satisfaction. Preparing patients and applying electrodes, sensors, and monitoring equipment. Monitoring and documenting sleep and physiological data throughout the study, and preparing studies for day-shift RPSGT scoring and physician interpretation as applicable. Recognizing and responding appropriately to changes in patients' conditions and sleep-related events. Troubleshooting technical issues and maintaining quality signal acquisition.
Qualifications Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required; graduation from a CAAHEP - or CoARC-accredited Polysomnography/Respiratory Care program, OR completion of a BRPT-approved STAR program, OR RPSGT eligibility with the requirement to successfully pass the BRPT registry exam within 6 months of hire
Skills/Experience:
Previous sleep laboratory and PAP therapy and titration experience required; patient care; troubleshooting, critical-thinking, and communication skills \
Licensure/Certification:
Certified RPSGT by the
