Additional Information About the Role Join the Sleep Lab Team at BJC Health's Christian Hospital as a Non-Registered Polysomnographic Technologist . In this position, you will provide overnight polysomnographic testing for adult patients, including patient set-up, monitoring, troubleshooting equipment,scoring as applicable and more. Full-Time Days and Nights 1-2 overnights required •Required• Completed the A-STEP training program on-line AASM Modules associated with the A-STEP Program. Passed the Final online exam associated with the A-STEP Program Overview Christian Hospital has been serving St. Louis and the surrounding metro areas since 1903. Northwest HealthCare , six miles west of Christian, offers 24- hour emergency care, the Sleep Disorders Center and a variety of outpatient diagnostic and imaging services. Outpatient diagnostics sleep center testing mainly adult patients during the night and day hours. Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose Provide therapeutic, diagnostic, and assessment-related responsibilities within the Sleep Lab department. Ensure quality clinical outcomes in sleep testing procedures performed throughout the Sleep Lab department. Able to accurately and efficiently complete test analysis (scoring). Responsibilities Applies electrodes and sensors to patient. Prepares, calibrates, and maintains equipment. Performs positive airway pressure (PAP) mask fittings. Performs sleep studies, initiates and maintains various modes of therapy. Recognizes and manages various respiratory conditions. Scores sleep and wake stages, scores clinical events. Generates reports and transfers data to the appropriate media. Minimum Requirements Education High School Diploma or GED Experience
