In this role, you will perform comprehensive daytime sleep studies—including EEG‑based MSLT and MWT testing—to support the diagnosis and evaluation of sleep-wake disorders. The position requires strong technical proficiency, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high‑quality patient care. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate data acquisition, proper equipment setup and calibration, and clear documentation of study results. This daytime position offers an engaging, patient‑focused environment where your expertise directly contributes to improved clinical outcomes and overall patient well‑being. Responsibilities Prepare patients for sleep studies by explaining procedures, positioning them comfortably, and ensuring proper application of sensors and electrodes. Operate polysomnography (PSG) monitoring equipment, including electroencephalography (EEG), respiratory devices such as continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) and bilevel positive airway pressure (BiPAP) machines, and other diagnostic tools. Monitor patients throughout sleep studies, adjusting equipment as needed while maintaining a safe and comfortable environment. Collect and document vital signs, physical examinations, and relevant medical history during testing sessions. Score manual sleep tests with precision, analyzing data related to sleep architecture, respiratory events, limb movements, and other physiological parameters. Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR), accurately recording all test results, observations, and patient interactions. Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to interpret data for diagnostic evaluation and treatment planning. Requirements Valid certification as a Registered Sleep Technologist (RST) or equivalent credential from an accredited organization. Proven experience working with sleep studies (polysomnography testing) in a sleep center setting. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and respiratory therapy principles related to sleep medicine. Proficiency in operating polysomnography equipment, electroencephalography (EEG), and respiratory devices such as CPAP and BiPAP machines. Ability to perform vital signs accurately during testing procedures. Experience working with individuals with sleep-wake disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, shiftwork disorder or narcolepsy. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for documentation and record management. Basic life support certification is required to ensure patient safety at all times. Join us in making a difference by providing exceptional patient care through precise diagnostics and compassionate support! This role is ideal for motivated professionals eager to advance their career in sleep medicine while contributing to improved health outcomes for our patients.
