Description of Lab Technician:

Is responsible for proper preparation of mineral samples for analysis in accordance with all applicable standards and company procedures.

Requirements of Lab Technician:

Works under general supervision, expected to perform job functions independently. Prepares mineral samples (i.e., coal, iron ore, limestone, petroleum coke, etc.) by crushing samples in accordance with required published standards, using various sample crusher models. Transfers and labels samples, identifying date, and associated paperwork. Files and locates samples. Performs routine and preventive maintenance on all preparation equipment. Accurately records all data associated with the preparation of samples. Ensures all personal protective equipment (PPE) relevant for tasks is worn at all times. Ensures compliance with all required local and federal safety processes and procedures.

Work Schedule of Lab Technician:

Monday-Friday 9am-1pm (part-time) 20 hours a week
