Schedule:

Monday Friday, Day Shift Pay Rate:

$17.50/hour The Lab Technician will monitor products daily, perform microbiological testing, and maintain the shelf-life program to ensure product quality and compliance.

Responsibilities:

Test in-process and finished cheese and whey products to ensure compliance with standards Perform microbiological testing, including yeast, mold, coliform, and water testing Test free and total chlorine levels daily and report results Process sample requests and conduct swab sampling of equipment and surfaces Review shelf-life samples and analyze package integrity Verify label accuracy, including pricing, UPC numbers, and code dates Record daily temperatures throughout the facility Report GMP violations and maintain adherence to food safety standards Start up, shut down, and perform daily checks on lab equipment Maintain cleanliness and organization of the lab and work area Follow all company safety policies, GMPs, and Safe Quality Food Program procedures Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in food science, quality assurance, or laboratory testing 1+ year of lab technician experience preferred Food manufacturing experience preferred Knowledge of chemical and physical processes related to cheese and packaging quality Experience with dairy, cheese, and aseptic techniques preferred

Working Conditions:

Work performed in a laboratory setting Occasional exposure to temperature extremes, industrial noise, moisture, and moving machinery PPE such as hair nets, ear plugs, hard hats, and safety glasses may be required Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform repetitive movements throughout the shift JobsRUs.com
