Job Description

Laboratory Technician This is an entry level, 2nd shift (3pm to 11pm) lab technician position. Mon-Fri. This is a full-time position with excellent benefits such as vacation time, sick time, insurance package and 401K plan. The lab technician is responsible for the testing, sampling, and reporting of food and pharmaceutical grade salt products. Job Duties Perform chemical and physical laboratory testing of food and pharmaceutical grade salt products in accordance with specifications, requirements and regulations. Calibrates, maintains and utilizes various laboratory and testing equipment. Chemical handling and preparation of laboratory reagents adhering to all safety procedures and OSHA guidelines. Interacts with other departments on sampling requirements and test results. Maintains neat, organized laboratory notebooks. General housekeeping of laboratory areas and office space. Data generation and reporting Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • College degree with chemistry background, or lab experience preferred
  • Must be able to work independently and also in a team environment.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced setting is essential.
  • Must have good PC skills, including MS Office.
  • Knowledge of chemical instrumentation is helpful, including
AA, IC, Karl Fischer Titrator, UV-Vis Spec Job Type:
