A Laboratory Technician performs routine tests on samples of body fluids, tissues, and other substances for diagnostic and research purposes. Works under the supervision of a medical laboratory technologist in a laboratory or healthcare facility.
Provide support to the Quality & Product Development departments. Primarily, this position will test and adjust into specification products produced. Test raw materials, customer samples, and maintain associated databases of the test results. At times, this position will be used to investigate and solve problems for products and raw materials.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Testing of products, customer samples, and raw materials. Assigning batch sheets, processing shop packets, and creating labels. Report issues and initiates MRB'S and deviations. Entering data into databases and spreadsheets. Emailing test results & recommendations to customers.
Miscellaneous:
cleaning, maintaining lab inventory, answering questions, investigating issues, checking emails, other tasks as assigned. Generate and send COA and or COC to customers when required
QUALIFICATIONS
Associate degree in a science is preferred. Should have knowledge of, or experience in general science laboratory practices and procedures. Have excellent communications skills, both verbal and written. Should possess the ability to manage multiple deadlines with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Should possess a positive attitude, high level of accountability, personal drive, ambition, and integrity.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Daily routine will consist mostly of technical work with exposure to the production and laboratory environment, which may have some abnormal variations in temperature, unavoidable fumes, noise, and atmospheric conditions. Appropriate Personal Protective Equipment, including a respirator, must be worn in designated areas. Must possess the ability to perform light physical activity, which includes occasionally lifting up to 55 lb., standing, walking up the stairs, sitting, manual dexterity, repetitive hand, and finger motion. From $23.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 45.0 per week Application Question(s): Can you work 2nd shift 3:30 - 12:00AM? I understand this is a temporary role for 6-9 months?
