Laboratory Liaison /
Lead Lab Technician Schedule:
Second Shift — Monday-Friday, 2:00pm-10:00pm About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Liaison / Lead Lab Technician to support our fast‑paced manufacturing operations. This hands‑on role is ideal for someone with strong technical expertise in materials testing and in‑process quality assurance, combined with proven experience leading small teams. You will be a key contributor in ensuring product quality, supporting production, and maintaining the integrity of our laboratory processes. What You'll Do Perform in‑process and finished‑product testing in alignment with internal standards and customer specifications. Prepare and test specimens using injection molding equipment and other laboratory instruments. Evaluate test results, identify nonconformities, and clearly document required adjustments to production materials. Place out‑of‑spec materials on quality hold and conduct additional sampling, inspections, or testing as needed. Conduct routine calibration checks and preventative maintenance on lab equipment. Maintain accurate, timely records in accordance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP). Keep the laboratory and molding areas clean, organized, and safe. Communicate effectively with production, quality, and leadership teams regarding test results, trends, and quality concerns. Provide day‑to‑day guidance and support to a small team of lab technicians. What You Bring Minimum of two years of experience in a leadership or lead‑tech role within a laboratory, quality, or manufacturing environment. Strong background in materials testing , in‑process QA , or related technical disciplines. Hands‑on experience with laboratory equipment; injection molding experience is a plus. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments. High attention to detail, strong problem‑solving abilities, and a commitment to accuracy. Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced production environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jackson, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
